Western Pony Express Brass Pocket Telescope
TELESCOPE, a solid brass telescope with an antique finish. The lens has a cap and it measures 3 3/4 inches when closed and is 6 inches when pulled out and 1 1/4 inches wide. It is a replica with a brass round tag that reads "Pony Express est. 1860 Property of C.O.C. & P.P. Express Company". When John Upson made his first Pony Express run, he spent a lot of the time walking, not riding. It was April 1860 and The Pony Express had a goal to deliver the mail 1,966 miles between Missouri and California in less than 10 days.
