Western Lawman Sheriff Shield Badge

WESTERN LAWMAN SHERIFF BADGE, the badge is a shield and is made of solid copper and double die struck with  a silver-plated antique finish . It measures 2 inches across and has a pin for attaching to a shirt. This type of badge would have been worn by Claude Inman, he was once a famous sheriff of Esmeralda County, Nevada and Constable of the wild old town of Goldfield, Nevada in the 1880's. Inman must have been a remarkable peace officer and man. The city fathers and merchants awarded him a presentation grade custom version of this badge and an engraved gold inlaid Smith and Wesson revolver.
