Western Deputy US Marshal Metal Gun Butt Tag

GUN BUTT GRIP TAG, a solid metal with "Deputy U.S. Marshal" and the cut-out star in a circle. It is curved with four mounting holes and an antique finish. Shaped to be attached to a curved wood gun grip. It measures 1 1/2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. For over 200 years now, U.S. Marshals and their Deputies have served as the instruments of civil authority used by all three branches of government. Marshals have been involved in most of the major historical episodes in America's past.
