Small Glass Advertising Counter Jar Ok Chewing Gum

COUNTER JAR, that is a replica of an advertising piece. The jar is a small heavy clear glass counter jar with glass lid & plastic seal. The front has "O.K. Chewing Gum" with a black man and "One Cent" and "O.K Perfect Gum".  The counter jar measures 6 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches wide. In 1893 the classic Wrigley Juicy Fruit chewing gum was introduced, and the Wrigley Spearmint was introduced later that year. William Wrigley was one of the first to use advertising to promote the sale of branded merchandise. He advertised the benefits of the product through newspaper and magazine ads, outdoor posters and other forms of advertising.
