Peters Superior Cartridges Advertising Pocket Mirror

POCKET MIRROR, Peters advertising fantasy replica glass pocket mirror. The mirror is 2 1/4 inches in diameter and has a tarnished rim.  The mirror has "Peters Superior Cartridges" with 3 cartridges in a triangle and one shot through the center. Early shotshells used black powder, which produced lots of smoke and relatively weak pressures inside the shotgun barrel. In the mid-1890's, Peters introduced so-called smokeless powders that were more powerful.
