Original Old Uptown Soda Bottle

ORIGINAL OLD GLASS SODA BOTTLE, for Up-Town. The bottle has "Up-Town" in yellow circles. The back of the bottles have "Contents 8 Fl. Ozs. Toledo, Ohio" on it. The bottle measure 8 3/4 inches tall. The 1940's was a decade of transition. The postwar years saw a new generation of sodas. Television was also beginning to take hold with Americans, and companys decided to begin advertising in the new medium. Many soda companies developed new flavors during the decade which included chocolate creme, a richer-tasting root beer, and Uptown, a lemon-lime soda inspired by 7 Up.
