Western Wild Bill Hickok Lawman Knife in Box
KNIFE IN BOX, a nice western or old west outlaw folding knife. The box has "Wild Bill Hickok" with a photo and information also inside is a "Collectible Knife" with decorative details and another picture of Wild Bill. It is a heavy knife with a stainless blade. The box measures 5 inches long and is 2 3/4 inches wide. The knife is 4 inches when folded and is 7 1/4 inches when open. James Butler Hickok's reputation as the Old West's premier gun fighter made him a legend in his own lifetime–a distinction shared by few of his gun fighting contemporaries. Thanks to an article in Harper's New Monthly Magazine in February 1867 and some other colorful accounts published in the mid-1860s, Hickok, or rather 'Wild Bill,' as he was generally called, was soon elevated from regional to national status. And since his death in 1876, he has achieved worldwide fame.
