Western Texas Ranger Gun Tag Watch Fob

FOB, a solid brass with antique finish shield-shaped fob. The fob measures 1 inch wide with a slat for adding a strap. It reads "Texas Ranger Agent" with different numbers engraved in the front and the back is blank. The Rangers began back in 1823 with Stephen F. Austin needed men to defend his colony. These men needed to "range" the area of the colony to protect it from Indians.
