Western Metal Chastity Belt
CHASTITY BELT, with an antique finished metal. The belt comes with a miniature lock and key that works to lock and unlock when turned. The front of the belt has a heart shaped brass tag with raised lettering, which reads "Guaranteed Virginity Dr. Polasky's Approved Chastity Protector". It measures approximately 32 1/2 inches at the waist and is 28 1/2 inches from the front of waist to the back. Chastity belts have been around for centuries, possibly as early as the 14th century. Chastity belts were often made in only one size. Larger women were forced to wear them and suffer the pain from the tight fit. In the 16th and 17th centuries, a popular belt in Central Europe included the iron girdle, which had a circumference of 32 inches. The area surrounding the hips was made of four metal bands and the entire device was kept in place by a padlock.
