Ford Model A Wood Gasoline Gauge
GASOLINE GAUGE, a replica wood Ford Gas Gauge. One side has "Ford Gasoline Gauge" and "10 Gallon Round Tank, 9 Gallon Round tank, 9 Gallon Oval Tank, 9 Gallon Square Tank" along with the markings. The other side has "Gasoline Gauge" and "1926 Model Ford Vertical, 9 Gallon Oval Tank, 1928 Model A Ford Tanks" along with the markings. The wood measuring gauge measures just shy of 15 inches tall and 1 1/8 inch wide. In 1914 the first dash-mounted gas gauge was installed by Studebaker, but it wasn't until 1922 that fuel gauges became standard on most instrument panels.
