Deputy Sheriff Cheyenne Badge
BADGE, a solid copper double die struck with silverplated antique finish Deputy Sheriff Cheyenne badge that is a shield. The badge measures 2 inches wide and has the clasp on the back to pin to a shirt. Early in his career, Joe Lefors may have served as a Deputy Sheriff out of Cheyenne for a short time. If so, he was the most famous lawman ever to wear the badge of that office. Later of course, he pursued the Butch Cassidy gang.
