Deadwood South Dakota Marshal Badge

It measures 1 3/4 inches across and has a pin for attaching to a shirt. A badge such as this is a known example of the badge for the "Marshal of Deadwood". It refers to the boom camp of Deadwood, South Dakota, a town with a colorful past and interesting characters. We understand that a city lawman arrested Jack McCall for the murder of Wild Bill Hickok on Aug. 2, 1876.
