Coon Chicken Inn Restaurant Dessert Plate

PLATE, a replica of the 1920's Coon Chicken Inn Restaurant.  The dessert plate has the restaurant logo in the center that is the grinning caricature of a black man. The back is marked with "O.P.CO. Syracuse -China-P-3". It measures 8 inches across. In the late 1950’s the Grahams got out of the restaurant business, keeping the properties and leasing them out to other restaurant operators. The Salt Lake City site is now the Chuck-A-Rama; the Seattle restaurant is now Yings Drive-In, and the Portland site has become the Prime Rib.
