Coon Chicken Inn Restaurant Bowl
BOWL, a replica of the 1920's Coon Chicken Inn Restaurant. The bowl has the restaurant logo in the center that is the grinning caricature of a black man. The back is marked with "O.P.CO. Syracuse -China-P-3". It measures 8 inches across and is 2 inches tall. By the 1930's the Graham's restaurants were successful and they added a third in Portland, Oregon. Later a cabaret and orchestra were added to the Seattle and Salt Lake locations, with larger dining rooms and delivery trucks for outside catering. The grinning porter logo was on every dish, silverware item, menu, and paper product.
