CALIFORNIA RANGER BADGE, a solid copper double die struck with silver-plated antique finish California Ranger badge that is a cut out star in a circle. The badge measures 1 3/4 inches wide and has the clasp on the back to pin to a shirt. The most famous California Ranger was Captain Harry Love, he set about to capture the more famous bandit, Joaquin Murieta. Captain Love returned with a head in a bottle, but it was doubted that it was Murieta's head.
