Nostalgic TV Movie Cowboy Collectibles

Let's all face it...the old west is fun and fascinating. As children we play at being cowboys and cowgirls. There was a time not too long ago that the TV western was a popular past time. Most of us remember watching shows like Gunsmoke and Bonanza.

However, long before those shows the most famous TV and movie cowboys were Roy Rogers, Hopalong Cassidy and Gene Autry. Roy Rogers was known as "The King of Cowboys" and each week Roy fought the bad guys in the modern West from his home base on the Double R Bar Ranch along with his wife Dale Evans, and his trusty sidekick Pat Brady and his great horse Trigger. Hopalong Cassidy also known as Hoppy was the Sir Galahad of the open range, he was soft spoken and did not smoke, drink or kiss girls, and he always made sure the bad guy drew his gun first. He was a cowboy lawman and a roll model for children everywhere who wanted to own Hoppy's badge. Gene Autry "The Singing Cowboy" made his way in radio as well as movies. Gene and Roy became the country's best-loved cowboy team by the late 1930's.
